When is your birthday and where have you been born? Birthdate: December
27. Astrological chart: Sun-Capricorn; Moon-Gemini; Acsendant-Cancer
When did you start lifting weights and what has been your motivation? I start in 1980 - my motivation was and still is to have a perfect female body - ALL the time - not just during contest prep/and contest day!
Did you have any model at that time? Not really - it was the beginning of the sport - the general look appealed to me.
Did you do any other sports before? Not during high school/college. I was lucky to have a PE instructor allow me to weight train as an independant study for PE in high school for 2 years at a local gym.
What was your first goal when you started lifting weights? To look prefect and feel good!
Have you thought about competing in bodybuilding competitions right from the
first day you entered a gym? No, I didn't think of of it till two years later when a number of people in the gym told me I had a perfect genetic structure for competition.
Which one was the first bodybuilding contest you have entered and how did My first show was in 1983 A local Illinois show- Under the America Federation of Women's Bodybuilding (AFWB) I place 3rd or 4th in my "height class" In 1989 I won my first overall show in Colorado and also qualitfied for Nationals that year.
Which contest has been the most important one for you, yet? First major show I won was the AAU Jr. America in 1990. It provided my first interview and photoshoots. The other show that infuneced me the most was when I placed 6th at my first showing at a Pro qualifier, the USA in 1995. I trained myself in Western Colorado, and it wasn't until then I knew I had reached a potential to decide whether to continue to compete or not. I choose to take about 6 years off - waiting patiently for the industry to make decisions as to what they are really looking for. I decided to come out of retirement last year, and will do another Pro qualifier in 2003.

If you don't mind, please tell me what are your best lifts in the gym ever.: Bench: 225, still use 70-90# dumbbells for chest presses. Deadlift: 315 - Still can do it!! Squat: 405#'s - Train with only 315 now - do not ned to lift that heavy anymore: Leg Press 1100# Military press 150#'s Dumbbell Rows: 100# dumbbells: Curls 40-45#'s dumbbells. I am still able to lift all current weights except squats.
How often do you train and what is your training routine? I train as I need to. I never do the same workout, never use the same grip, always changing machines and free weights. My phisolphy is: Train your body in every direction it moves - for there is a mucle cell that fires for evey direction, thus filling up the muscle belly entirely. I train low rep and high reps, drop set, compound set. The body adapts to quickly to stay on any specific workout to long. How many sets and reps I do is really based on how well I have fed my body and whether or not I am resting enough!
What is your best body part in your opinion? I would have to say my whole body. I never had a favorite part - I always wanted everything to be perfect and balanced. I have always trained things equally.
What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you absolutely don't
like? Can't say - b ecause I changed everything all the time - there is no exercise I hate or like the best. I used whatever I have to in order to get the shape and fullness I want. If you start out slow with your most hated exercise, and teach the muscle to respond correctly to the movement - you will never hate any exercise. Most people hate certain exercised becasue it is ususally a weak bodypart - or they have an injuy that cause them pain.
What else do you do when you don't train or compete HOBBIES: ROLLERBLADING, RACQUETBALL, MOUNTAIN BIKING AND HIKING, PIGS
What are your future plans in bodybuilding? I am going to do the USA/NAT'ls next year. I have POWERHOUSE GYM, Las Vegas fully sponsering me for 3-4 shows. I decided to come out of retirement - since I am now back in to the bodybuilding fitness arena. I am competing for myself as well as marketing for our gym.
Current stats:
Weight - 150-155 - still as lean if not leaner than my pictures. I am always in excellent condition
